Since Wheelabrator were announced as preferred bidder by theNorth Wales Residual Waste Treatment Project in April 2014, more than 50 businesses have already approached the Parc Adfer development team via the project website, the freephone hotline and in person, wanting to register their interest in supply and contracting opportunities. Businesses across North Wales are being invited to register their details with the Parc Adfer development team, as preparations start for a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event later this year.

Project manager Phil Short said: “At the moment our priority is working with the relevant authorities to secure the various permissions and consents that we’ll need to building and operate Parc Adfer. The development team is focusing on these vital areas and if we can achieve a positive outcome then our attention will quickly turn towards organising a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event for local businesses. This will be an opportunity for businesses operating across North Wales to find out how their skills and expertise may be relevant to Wheelabrator’s construction partners as well as in the day-to-day operation of the facility for the next 25 years.”

Businesses wanting to register their interest with the Parc Adfer development team should email or call free on 0800 093 7812.
